By cooking the figs with the wine, you get a lovely fragrant dessert to serve with ice cream or mascarpone.
- 12 figs
- ½ cup late-harvest riesling
- Preheat oven to 400 F.
- Cut figs in half.
- Place figs flesh-side down in a metal dish and pour wine over top.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until figs are softened and wine is reduce to syrup.
