Ghetto Sangria


  • 750 mL cheap red wine
  • 75 mL real Canadian maple syrup
  • loads of ice
  • some fresh mint leaves


Chill the wine beforehand if you have the foresight (hint: you can put a bottle in the freezer for 15 minutes). Combine wine, syrup, and ice as quickly as possible. Serve in minimalist Danish drinking glasses. Garnish with a leaf or two of fresh mint from your garden.
