Simple, basic, never fail, marinade for bbq pork chops

This served us very well over the years.  We found that shoulder chops are a better for for the bbq than the choice centre loins ones; they usually are slightly marbled and offer a better chance of juicy result.

Take even amounts (volume) of

  • lemon juice
  • soy sauce
  • honey

mix it well, add some

  • finely chopped garlic

Immerse the chops in the marinade (plastic zip lock performs superbly here), leave in the fridge for a few hours, better yet, overnight.

Bring back to room temperature  and shake off the marinade before grilling them. Do not overcook (a few minutes on each side?).
