Home Made Humus

Well tested – and enjoyed by those who like humus..

  • 2 cans of chickpeas – drain most of the water from the cans (not all). Some people don’t like canned, so they buy dehydrated chickpeas and soak them, then cook them

  • Sesame Tahini – 3 tablespoons.
  • Juice of 1-2 lemons. Fresh squeezed is definitely better.
  • Fresh garlic (2-3 cloves)
  • Salt (1/2 teaspoon or to taste)
  • Cumin (1 tablespoon or to taste)
  1. Put all ingredients in a food processor
  2. Turn the machine on, it takes about 5 minutes.
  3. Adjust amounts and time to your tastes.
  4. Spread it on a plate and garnish with paprika and cumin, chickpeas, and drizzle with olive oi
